Joining Scouts BSA

Joining a scout troop is a pretty easy process.  A Scouts BSA Youth Application needs to be completed and turned into the troop.  If a parent or other adult would like to join as well, an Adult application must also be completed.  These are submitted to the district for approval along with your dues payment.

You will also need to complete and turn in to the troop a Scouts Medical form.  This form covers you for general activities and camp outs lasting no more than 72 hours.

Before attending Summer Camp you will also need to have a physical by a physician and complete Part C of the medical form.

With an approved application you are able to attend all meetings and events with the troop or as an individual.  You are entitled to sign up for merit badge classes and workshops, attend district, council, national and international events like the National Jamboree and World Jamboree.

More over, as a member of a Scouts BSA troop, you become a member of the Scouting movement and fellowship supported by millions of other scouts around the globe.
